Introduction
This is a great heavy duty cross cut shredder for a small to medium sized office. It shreds very well when 15 sheets, the maximum per pass, are inserted. The shredder did not slow at all. This shredder has the classic paper shredder look and is a little taller than some of the smaller models. One unfortunate aspect to the shredder is you can not see how full the waste basket is from the outside. This forces you to rely on the built in sensor.

Shredder
The shredder motor is very solid and puts out the normal amount of noise you would expect from a shredder. When given the max number of pages to shred, 15, the shredder did great. The shredder is also faster than some other models. Fellowes says that you can shred 900 pages in five minutes. Has Safe Sense Technology.

The shredder has 4 indicator lights on top:
Paper jam
Shredder door open
Shredder running hot
Basket full.

Waste Basket
You get to the waste basket by first opening a door and then pulling out the waste basket. The waste basket has a 7 gallon capacity which allows a lots of shredding before the it needs to be emptied. On this inside of the door there is a shelf/pocket that allows you to store supplies. It will not hold as many supplies as some of the other Fellowes Shredders but something it better than nothing.

As mentioned before there is no way to see how full the waste basket is before it needs to be emptied. This means you just know when the waste basket is full and you not have any sort of early warning system.
